I am a researcher and lecturer in English Linguistics at the University of Düsseldorf, Germany. My research interests include computer-mediated communication (CMC), text linguistics, corpus linguistics and pragmatics. I regard myself both as a linguist and as an Internet researcher, a view that is also reflected in my dissertation on corporate blogging, which approaches the subject both from a linguistic and interdisciplinary perspective (PhD completed January 2009, summa cum laude).
